Yes,i agree with that statement!It's your choice to learn because if someone force you to learn something that you don't like ,you can choose not to do it. In this world, no want can force you to learn to take up a lesson which does not interest you. It depends on which subject or lesson you like most than you will excel in it. Those people who force you to learn the subjects that you don't really like may have a good reason. They may think that it will be good for our future. But they do not realize that the learner will suffer and struggle to learn it. If the learner chooses to give a try, the lesson may interest him or her because they may not know what they want for their future. If the learner gets a good future, he or she will be very happy and grateful to those who help them.

I state an example, myself. When I was in Primary 3; a very essential level for Mother Toungue language development, there was a new teacher who was kind of a pushover. This crucial moment came when she asked me if I wanted to learn. Then, I said no, and just refused her every other offer of learning in her class. That's when it goes bad, the following years are not good, I kept failing my Mother Toungue and today it has still caugh up with me.
If anyone has the choice to learn, they SHOULD choose to learn. Apparently my choice of not choosing to learn has caused me great grief even to this day.

I really agree to that statement! You may never ever be intersted in something that has been forced to you.Learning is something that we have to put our hearts,not by forcing ourselves.Even if we force ourselves,we may just end up suffering,not to other but to ourselves.Sometimes,we want to learn but the sometimes the reason may be the lesson is just not fun enough,there is no laughter.I am not trying to be rude or defiant,its just a fact. Yes, learning can only be done on the part of the learner. As when you force someone to learn something when he is not in the mood to study or learn, he will not be able to concentrate on learning, thus causing him to get stress easily and things that he have learn will be forgotton easily. If he wants to study, he will then be focus on studying instead of games and other things. He will also be able to concentrate more and thus, not forgetting things easily.

If you force him or her to learn, he or she will have the mentality thinking that, 'Oh, my parents ask me to, so I'll do.'
It's in a sense that one is patronising his or her parent doing stuffs their parents order, leading him or her not to learn, but to harm them.
Unless something miraculously happens, if not, just by forcing one to learn isn't really effectively going to drive him or her to really learn.
